About the program
Homestay placement. Referred family lists referrer on their own application (not a separate referrer form). This is a volunteer host program. Hosts don't receive a salary, but may claim a monthly tax deduction of about $50 for each month they host, and the program covers the student's own spending money, medical insurance, and support.
Who can host
Referred family must be new to APEX, willing to host, live within a 20-minute radius of an APEX partner school, able to transport the student, and pass background checks. The family lists the referrer on their Homestay Application.
